Tribal Traditions Meet Luxury Wellness at Palm Springs Spa and Cultural Center

The Spa at Séc-he is more than another wellness center in Palm Springs, California. The spa is the cultural centerpiece of the strikingly modern Agua Caliente Cultural Plaza.

Located on land owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, the six-acre complex includes the five-star spa and the new cultural museum that immerses you in the tribe’s history in this desert oasis. The plaza is one of only a few places in the U.S. where you can soak in a hot mineral water and learn about the Native American tribe that has tended the sacred spring for centuries.

On a recent visit to Palm Springs, I spent a relaxing afternoon at the award-winning spa. I loved soaking in one of the spa’s private mineral baths and lounging in a salt cave to enhance my breathing. If you are planning a trip to Palm Springs, I highly recommend visiting the spa. Then, be sure to reserve time at the cultural museum to learn about the Agua Caliente tribe.

The Agua Caliente Cultural Center sounds like a marvelous place to unwind, relax and be pampered. Barbara does an excellent job of making this be a go to spot in my future.
